The Marshall County Career Development Center is located in downtown Marshalltown, providing opportunities for integration in the community through the use of the library, grocery shopping, visiting the local shops, the hospital, parks, historical buildings and through use of the city bus transit system.
Consumers are encouraged to volunteer some time to local organizations either through service at the organization or by producing goods which are donated to local charities.
Our consumers are encouraged to improve their living skills through daily use of the exercise bikes, joining the walking club, learning cooking skills, money management, phone skills, communication skills, improving interpersonal relationships, practicing leisure skills, and discussions of current events in our community, state and world. Our consumers are encouraged to be active in the community while at CDC but also in their time at home.
