Alternative High Schools

Iowa Valley Continuing Education operates three alternative high schools in cooperation with local K-12 community school districts:

New Horizons High School

Green Belt High School
ECC McClue Hall, Room 102
1100 College Avenue
Iowa Falls, Iowa 50126

The alternative high schools serve students who have been unsuccessful in a traditional high school and those who have dropped out. Students in the alternative high schools can earn a high school diploma from their original high school by completing credits.

The alternative schools offer a limited number of courses covering math, English, social studies, science, adult living, parenting, computer skills, and career and employment information.

Alternative schools emphasize small class size, flexible schedules, and services to meet each student's personal needs.
