Design for Life by Karen Antle – In many ways, Americans are careful about preparing for the second half of their lives, particularly in terms of financial planning. Unfortunately, for many there's no awareness when it comes to evaluating your home's ability to support your needs and lifestyle as you age. Most people don't think about or discuss home accessibility until a crisis occurs and it becomes obvious that they're living in a place that no longer meets their needs or abilities. Discussion includes how home accessibility impacts the community, how everyone can prepare for changing needs, easy and low-cost solutions to improve your home, and resources available. This program is co-sponsored by AARP and Rebuilding Together.
