IVCCD is one of “Iowa’s Top Workplaces” for third consecutive year
Iowa Valley Community College District, which operates Ellsworth Community College, Marshalltown Community College, Iowa Valley Continuing Education and Iowa Valley Grinnell, is pleased to announce that it has been selected as one of Iowa’s Top Workplaces for the third consecutive year.
In 2012 IVCCD was ranked 32nd among Iowa’s mid-sized employers. For 2013, IVCCD is ranked 28th on that list. There were no other Iowa colleges or universities in the mid-sized employer group this year.
The Top Workplaces are determined based solely on employee feedback. The survey is conducted by WorkplaceDynamics, LLP, a leading research firm on organizational health and employee engagement. WorkplaceDynamics conducts regional Top Workplaces programs with more than 30 major publishing partners and recognizes a national list of Top Workplaces. Over the past year, more than 4,500 organizations and 1 in every 100 employees in the U.S. have turned to WorkplaceDynamics to better understand what’s on the minds of their employees.
“We are pleased to be among Iowa’s 2013 Top Workplaces because it is an honor that’s based on how we’re viewed by our own employees,” says Dr. Chris Duree, IVCCD Chancellor. “For the third consecutive year, we’ve participated in the WorkplaceDynamics survey to get honest and constructive feedback from all of our employees about how we can be a better organization. We aren’t perfect, and we have several areas in which we hope to improve during the coming year, but it’s a real testimony to our workforce that we’re an organization that remains strongly committed to continuous improvement.
The Des Moines Register published the complete list of Top Workplaces on Sunday, Sept. 22.
