Campus Facilities
Ellsworth Community College is proud of its traditional
college setting and its up-to-date campus facilities.

Bullock Jones Hall contains the English department,
criminal justice, reading improvement program, as well as offices for Iowa
Valley Continuing Education.

Calkins Nature Area (Calkins Campus) is a
cooperative project with the Hardin County Conservation Board and the
Ellsworth College Trustees. The 76-acre farm, wildlife, and natural
resource "laboratory" is open to the College as well as the community.
Located along the Iowa River, the beautiful tract includes prairie,
forest, and wetland environments. The nature center and museum, built in
1996, houses a laboratory and classroom, conference room, and museum
exhibits.
- College Apartments were constructe to offer students an alternative to residence hall accommodations.

Ellsworth Stables are located north of the campus on
Highway 65. The stable houses the equine management program.

Gentle Student Center includes a student lounge,
snack bar, cafeteria, student store, meeting rooms, and a formal dining
room. It also houses administrative offices, student services, student
activities, student health, and athletic offices.

Kruse-Main houses the Osgood Library, development
office, Hamilton Auditorium, media center, and the music and art
departments. It also contains the offices of the Ellsworth Foundation.

Physical Education Complex includes courts for
basketball, tennis, volleyball, and racquetball plus areas for weight
training and wrestling. It also includes four locker rooms, a training
room, custodial offices, and an equipment room. An Olympic-size indoor
swimming pool, whirlpool, sauna, and locker rooms were built as a result
of an Ellsworth Board of Trustees fund drive. Outdoor recreational
facilities include tennis courts, sand volleyball courts, and basketball
courts.

Math-Science Building houses biotechnology, biology,
physics, physical sciences, chemistry, laboratory technology, conservation
technology, pre-engineering and mathematics classrooms and offices, as
well as a vocational rehabilitation counseling office.

McClure Hall contains the nursing, human services,
psychology, education and social sciences.

Reg Johnson Hall houses the business, insurance,
retail marketing, fashion merchandising, speech, and office automation
programs and offices, an ICN classroom, and computer
laboratories. Buena Vista University office are also housed here.

Thompson Residence Hall includes dorm rooms,
lounges, study spaces, laundry and recreational facilities for men.

Trades & Industry Building houses the agriculture,
construction technology, and masonry classrooms and offices, as well as a
computer classroom.

Wall Residence Hall includes dorm rooms, lounges,
study spaces, and laundry facilities for women.

Wellness Center has been serving ECC students and the
community for many years now. With a variety of weight
machines and cardio equipment available, it is not surprising that the
Wellness Center has become a meeting place for those who would like to
stay physically fit.
