On-Campus Housing
ECC has three residence halls on campus: Wall Hall, which houses 104 female students, Thompson Hall, which houses 192 male students, and the College Apartments, which house 76 students (4 per apartment) in a co-ed environment.
The apartments are completely furnished, and include two bedrooms, two bathrooms, a living area, and a kitchenette.
All facilities include lounges, study areas, microwaves, laundry facilities, recreational areas, vending machines, television areas, and computer rooms. Each room has wireless computer networking service (apartments have ethernet), which allows access to the internet. Each room also has cable television and telephone outlets; due to interference to the wireless network, residents in Thompson Hall and Wall Hall are not allowed to have 2.4ghz phones. Parking lots are adjacent to each hall.

Computer Access
The residence halls are all connected to the internet and each resident has access in their respective room.
Thompson Hall and Wall Hall are connected to a wireless network and each resident has access in their room to this network. All computers brought to these halls must have a wireless networking card installed on their computer to work on the network. Thompson and Wall Halls also have a community computer room for students to utilize.
Residents in the College Apartments are hooked up to an ethernet system and require a specific cable to access the network.
Both the wireless network card and the ethernet cable can be purchased in the ECC Bookstore.
Parking Parking lots are adjacent to each residence hall. Students are encouraged to park their vehicles in appropriate parking areas. Parking in restricted areas will result in a fine(s); in cases of persistent violation, vehicles will be towed away at the students' expense. There are parking lots immediately west of the women's residence hall, south of the men's residence hall, and at the college apartments. These lots are restricted and may be used only with a residence hall parking permit.
Residency Requirement On a space-available basis, all full-time freshman students under 21 who are not heads of households, or not living with parents or guardians, are required to live in the college residence halls. This policy exists because the residence experience is considered to be an integral part of the students' education. By learning to live and work effectively with fellow residents, students may become more tolerant and well-rounded individuals. Students living in the residence halls are required to eat their meals in the college cafeteria. The residence hall contract is for the entire academic year.
Permission to be released from the contract will be made only in extenuating circumstances and must be approved by the Director of Residence Life and Housing.
