ECC football coach announces resignation
Ellsworth Community College head football coach Josh Gooch announced his resignation today, effective immediately. He has accepted a position at Hutchinson Community College in Kansas, his previous employer before coming to ECC last March.
Offensive line coach Tyler Brock and defensive back coach Thaddeus Brown Jr. also turned in resignations and will be accompanying Gooch to Hutchinson.
“We understand that Josh believes it is in the best interest of himself and his family to make this career move at this time,” says Duane Palcic, ECC Interim Athletic Director. “We’re terribly disappointed in his departure, but will begin immediately to re-evaluate our football coaching situation and look for a new head coach.”
Coach Gooch stated, “My family and I are extremely thankful for the opportunity to have been part of the Iowa Falls and ECC communities. I am super thankful to the players, coaches and administration for their hard work and effort this past year. ECC will always have a special place in our lives.”
