ECC staff & students celebrate MLK Day of Caring
125 Ellsworth Community College faculty, staff members and students took part in one of 14 different volunteer opportunities last week in celebration of the MLK Day of Caring. The event was organized by the ECC Diversity Committee.
The projects included painting and filing in the ECC Development Office, refurbishing trophies in the ECC music room, painting at Iowa Falls-Alden High School and Alden Elementary School, building signage and duck houses at Calkins Nature Center, preparing tax returns for low-income residents, working at Barlow Library, setting up for Winter Fest at the Iowa Falls Boat Club, painting in Bullock Jones Hall, volunteering at the Heritage Care Center and Scenic Living, working in the ECC cafeteria, volunteering at the Thrift Store, and stuffing envelopes.
