ECC Volleyball signs Madison Grabau
Madison Grabau, a 5’2” libero from Kasson, MN, has signed her letter of intent to continue
her academic and athletic career at Ellsworth Community College.
In 2012, Grabau led the KoMets in digs (311) and aces (60); she was second in ace serves in 2011, with 37. Grabau had the second highest serving percentage at an impressive 96.2% (60 aces and only 16 service errors in 422 attempts). Earning four varsity letters, Grabau was named to the Hiawatha Valley League All-Conference team in 2012. In her last three high school seasons, she helped lead an impressive Kasson-Mantorville KoMet team to a 75-15 record, with a 28-3 record in her senior year. The KoMets also earned 1st place in the HVL Conference in 2012. Grabau also contributed three years to the Kasson-Mantorville Volleyball Club and three years to the Southern Minnesota Volleyball Club.
“Madison has been playing high level, competitive volleyball for years now, and she understands what it takes to compete under pressure,” says ECC Panthers Head Coach Melanie Lane. “She has a phenomenal serve and will be someone we’re going to count on to pass very consistently in receiving serves. Madison is a great addition for us and will be very big defensively when we take another run at nationals this year.”
Madison Grabau is the daughter of Darin and Donnae Grabau and older sister to twins Brooklyn and Ali.
