ECC invites the community to Diversity Night on Feb. 26
The ECC Diversity Committee invites the community to its Diversity Night on Tuesday, Feb. 26, from 5:30 to 7 p.m. in the Dale Howard Family Activity Center cafeteria. During the first half hour, attendees are invited to browse through various visual and informational displays, and at 6 p.m. students will begin making oral presentations.
“This is the fifth year for this event, and last year was the first time we invited the public, which was well-received,” explains ECC Professor Anne Sherve-Ose. “We provide an opportunity for our students to talk about what makes them unique, so people should be aware that these diverse topics sometimes come with some controversy. What we’ve found is that our students’ stories are powerful in their truthfulness and openness, and we feel certain it will continue to be a positive experience for everyone involved.”
