Scholarship deadline extended to March 31
With several generous scholarships still available (including some that cover nearly an entire year’s worth of tuition and fees), the Ellsworth Community College Financial Aid Office has temporarily extended the deadline for scholarship applications to Monday, March 31. High school seniors and those applying for admission to ECC in the fall semester of 2014 are encouraged to apply as soon as possible for the many remaining scholarships.
A complete list of ECC scholarships and scholarship criteria is available on the College’s website at www.EllsworthCollege.com; click on Financial Aid, Costs & Scholarships, then click on Scholarships. Information can also be obtained from the ECC Admissions or Financial Aid Offices in the Gentle Student Center or by calling 641-648-4611 or 1-800-322-9235.
“We have some incredibly generous scholarships available for specific degree programs, for special interest areas, and for a variety of other criteria,” explains Dr. Barb Klein, ECC Dean of Enrollment Services & Registrar. “The fact that ECC graduates have one of the lowest student debt loads in Iowa is due to our generous scholarship packages. Even with the extended deadline, March 31 is fast approaching. The sooner students complete and turn in their applications, the better off they’ll be. Our goal is to award all of those funds to as many deserving ECC students as we possibly can … the money is available, but it requires an application!”
