ECC Health Occupations hosts April 11 Open House
The public is invited to learn more about health occupations degree programs and careers
when Ellsworth Community College hosts a Health Occupations Open House on Thursday, April 11, from 4 to 6 pm. The event will be in McClure Hall on the ECC campus in Iowa Falls, 1100 College Avenue.
ECC offers a one-year Practical Nursing program, a two-year Associate Degree Nursing (RN) program, and a one-year Medical Assisting program, as well as Medical Office and Athletic Training degree programs.
“We look forward to meeting with community members, prospective students and their parents, health facility personnel and anyone interested in health occupations careers in Iowa, and Ellsworth Community College in particular,” says Linda Hanson, Associate Dean of Health Occupations for ECC. “We began offering a Blended (partially online) Associate Degree Nursing program this year, and have had many people wanting more information about that, so our instructors will be available for questions. In addition, we completed a significant facility renovation last summer and enjoy showing it off to community members and prospective students. In terms of individuals’ needs and interests, and in terms of the College application and enrollment process, this is an ideal time to come see what ECC Health Occupations has to offer.”
Giveaway items and literature will be available during the event, as well as refreshments and tours. There will also be a drawing for one Nursing and one Medical Assisting Scholarship. In case of bad weather, the open house will be moved to Thursday, April 18 (check www.EllsworthCollege.com for announcements in case of bad weather).
