Iowa 4-H Horse Judging Contest/Open Show Judges Certification Clinic
Youth and adults from across the state participated in the Iowa 4-H Horse Judging Contest/Open Show Judges Certification Clinic held Nov. 3 at the Ellsworth Community College Equestrian Center in Iowa Falls. Approximately 325 participants learned how to judge a variety of classes (halter, showmanship, western pleasure, trail, western horsemanship, hunter under saddle, and hunt seat equitation) from Dr. David Denniston, Colorado State University Associate Professor. The event was hosted by the Ellsworth Equestrian Center and ECC Equine students and instructors, as well as Iowa State University Equine Extension and Outreach, Key Cooperative, and Purina Mills.
