Iowa Valley Community College District (IVCCD) operates Ellsworth Community College and Marshalltown Community College, as well as Iowa Valley Community College Grinnell. All three share a common college catalog.

Accreditation
IVCCD (including ECC, MCC and IVGrinnell) is accredited by The Higher Learning Commission (www.ncahigherlearningcommission.org; ph. 312-263-0456). IVCCD a member of the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools, and is approved by the Iowa Department of Education. IVCCD and its colleges have articulation agreements with Iowa’s Regent universities and many private colleges in Iowa.
Grievance procedure
Iowa Valley and ECC desire to resolve student grievances, complaints and concerns in an expeditious, fair and amicable manner. Students residing outside of the state of Iowa while attending ECC who desire to resolve a grievance should follow the College's grievance procedure, outlined on Page 13 in the ECC Student Handbook. However, if an issue cannot be resolved internally, you may file a complaint with either the HLC or the Iowa Department of Education (515-281-0319).
