One of the best kept secrets in Poweshiek County may be our “A, B, C” classes: ABE, GED, ESL, and DUI. But don’t let those acronyms fool you! These classes are an essential part of continuing education, and they are taught by a dedicated group of instructors whose sole purpose is to help students achieve their goals.

ABE/GED preparation classes offer a solid foundation to achieving that vital high school equivalency diploma. John Wagner is here to help students prepare for final testing offered in Grinnell monthly.

Beginning ESL (English as a Second Language) with Mary Ellen Picard is held in Grinnell. Additional locations can be arranged upon request.

DUI (Driving UnImpaired/OWI) is offered in Marshalltown. This class fulfills Iowa drinking violation court orders and helps each student develop his or her own risk-reduction plan.

In addition, we offer a multifaceted collection of classes from “A” through “Z” to enrich your opportunities in lifelong learning.
