Iowa Automobile Dealers Foundation for Education awards scholarship to local student
The Iowa Automobile Dealers Foundation for Education awarded a $2,000 scholarship to Lanie Scheetz of Williamsburg. Wes Finch Auto Plaza in Grinnell recommended Scheetz for the scholarship. Scheetz is enrolled in the auto tech program at Iowa Valley Community College.
Overall, the IAD Foundation awarded thirteen $2,000 scholarships to college-bound students. The recipients are seeking education to begin a career in the automotive industry.
Scholarship applications are available each December. In the spring, the Foundation Board of Directors reviews scholarship applications and selects the winners.

The Iowa Automobile Dealers Foundation for Education is a non-profit entity established in 1995 by the Iowa Automobile Dealers Association. The IAD Foundation’s mission is to support educational, research and charitable activities that positively impact the automotive industry. Since 1998, the Foundation has awarded more than 200 scholarships to students across Iowa.
The Iowa Automobile Dealers Association is a trade association representing more than 300 car and truck dealers in the state. The association was established in 1919.
