Annie’s Project: Women in Agriculture
Annie’s Project is a comprehensive educational program and support network for Midwestern farm women. Annie is a farm wife in northern Illinois who spent her lifetime learning to be an involved business partner with her farmer husband. Annie’s project takes her experiences and shares them with farm women living and working in a complex business. This seven week course is taught in the classroom and the computer lab. Topics covered will include: Women & Money; Business Plans; Mission Statement & Goals; How Property is Titled; Cash & Crop Share Leases; Retirement & Estate Planning; Using Spreadsheets; Risk Management; Types of Insurance; Fast Tools; and Financial Records.
