Lamaze Prepared Childbirth
Lamaze classes prepare the couple for labor, delivery, and what to expect during their hospital stay. Topics covered include: relaxation and breathing techniques, normal labor course, medical interventions, cesarean birth, post-delivery care for mom and baby, breast and bottle feeding and parenthood. Classes meet once a week for five weeks in the MMSC OB classroom in Marshalltown. The cost is payable to co-sponsor MMSC. Call 641-754-5166 to register.

Sibling Class
This class is designed for children 2 - 8 years old who will soon become a big brother or sister. Topics include separation from mom during hospitalization, characteristics of a newborn, safety, sibling rivalry, and a tour of the unit. One adult is expected to stay with the child during class.
