Aqua Aerobics
An excellent aerobic program for all levels. Excellent for people with joint or range of movement issues. Great class for burning calories and increasing flexibility. The variety of music and the assortment of water exercises allows you to workout at your own pace but pushes you to reach beyond your comfort zone. Classes are on-going and you may register and begin at any time.(Tuesdays and Thursdays - 8 sessions for $45)

Aquacise
Improve strength, flexibility, and muscle tone with Arthritis Foundation approved water exercise. Class is excellent therapy for weak or damaged joints and muscles. Great for individuals with arthritis, back pain, artificial joints, or fibromyalgia. Instructor will modify to suit special needs. For all skill levels (no swimming required). The water temperature is 88 degrees. Classes are on-going and you may register and begin at any time. (Tues. and Thurs.- 8 swims for $45)

Organic food tasting experience and education based on Dr. Joel Fuhrman's latest nutritional research and delicious Eat to Live cuisine in Mary-Louise's kitchen. Food CO-OP Basics
Learn the fundamentals of food co-op buying. Local co-op members will explain the process and answer your questions. Co-op clubs offer many kinds of food items and more. Besides food there are toiletries, paper products, cleaning supplies, pet foods, nutritional supplements, even clothing. Bulk buying is done by some but it's not a requirement. Some folks buy an item or two only every once in awhile. It's easier and more flexible than you think! Find out why members love their co-op!

Natural Food Tour
You know you should eat better, more natural or organic foods rich in nutrients. But how do you get started? Enroute to Ames hear from a practicing vegan how and what to eat to boost your health & energy. We've all heard we are what we eat. This class will help you get started to eat better and to know what to look for. Why go to a health food store? Are the groceries really better for you? Get answers. We will eat at a health food deli, which you pay for on your own.

Pilates is a focus on the body's core training: abdominal, lower back, buttocks, hips and thighs. The goal to strengthen and lengthen the muscles to increase flexibility, posture, stamina, and over all strength through methodical, controlled movements and coordinated breathing. Firm the Tummy! Weight Machine Training
If you haven't visited the weight rooms and the aerobic rooms located at both the high school and the middle school, you will be surprised at the quantity and quality of equipment available. Also, use of this equipment is free to the public. The only requirement for their use is training. Once you are trained, you may use the rooms at either school before or after the school day and whenever the rooms are not being used by students. To receive this necessary training, join Ann Kuhter, who has been certified to teach you. Instruction requires only an hour of your time. One hour qualifies you and enables you to spend the winter getting in shape.

Yoga: Restorative Relaxation
Through the centuries it has been proven that there is nothing more effective for achieving a state of sustained relaxation than yoga. This class could teach you the basics of releasing your mind & body to let go of tensions, stress, problems and even pain. Take time out from your busy life to make time for beneficial relaxation methods based on yoga techniques. This class is for everyone, even those with limited mobility. At first, the delightful experience of letting go may be confined solely to the time you are actually practicing your yoga exercises. But gradually this feeling begins to carry over more and more into your everyday activities.
