Welcome to the Iowa Valley Education & Training Center:
The friendliest place in town!
 Located at 206 E. Church Street in historic downtown Marshalltown, Iowa, the Iowa Valley Education & Training Center is operated by Iowa Valley Community College District. We are open Monday through Thursday from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m., and Fridays from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
The mission of the Education & Training Center is to offer computer training and other business topics to meeting the needs of the local buisness community, and to centralize all of Iowa Valley's classes and services for those whose native language is not English. The focus is on comfort and convenience!
Ongoing Programs:
- Customized training programs for business & industry
- English as a Second Language (ESL) classes for persons from any country or culture. ESL class times for the Ed Center to be Monday through Friday 9:00 a.m. -noon; Monday and Thursday 5:30-8:00 p.m.
- GED (high school equivalency) classes in English and Spanish
- Citizenship classes in English and Spanish
- Computer classes in English and Spanish
- Customized classes for Marshalltown Central Business District, a Main Street Community

 Free child care for students enrolled in daytime and evening ESL/GED classes is available across the street from the Education & Training Center at St. Paul’s Episcopal Church; 75¢ per day snack fee is waived for people in the family literacy program.
