Iowa Valley Leadership

Who will take the lead?

Iowa Valley Leadership began in 1987 as a response to the question, "Who will take the place of the community's long-standing leaders?" Co-sponsored by the Marshalltown Area Chamber of Commerce and Iowa Valley Continuing Education, the program is targeted to emerging leaders.

The curriculum is designed by a steering committee whose members represent IVL alumni, IVCCD, the Chamber and leading community citizens. Interaction is encouraged through experiential learning opportunities and the inclusion of a wide variety of guests in each session.

Vision
Marshalltown will be a "leaderful" community.

Mission
Iowa Valley Leadership believes that community vitality depends on individuals who commit to learn about critical local issues and engage in influencing change.
