K.I.S.S. Keep It Simple Series for Computers
MARSHALLTOWN – Iowa Valley Continuing Education is pleased to offer the K.I.S.S. for Computers (Keep It Simple Series) classes. One night per topic, take one or all. Great for any beginning computer user or someone who just wants to learn more detail. Get individualized skill assessments to round out your resume with each class. K.I.S.S. Computer Keystone, CMB 1007 008, will be held on Jan. 22, 6:30 – 9:30 pm, starts with turning the computer on and mastering the mouse. Learn how to “Train Your Brain” to look certain places to accomplish specific tasks. Cost is $49. Register and pay by Jan. 14.
K.I.S.S. Internet, CMI 1100 005, offered on Jan. 29, 6:30 – 9:30 pm, $59, is internet specific “Train Your Brain” exercises. Covers basic browsers, address bar, search bar, tool bars, search techniques, links, terminology, bookmarks, favorites, navigation, spyware, adware, online safety. Register and pay by Jan. 21.
K.I.S.S. Email, CMI 1250 035, will be held on Feb. 5, 6:30 – 9:30 pm, $59, focuses on email specific “Train Your Brain” exercises. Covers terminology, sending to individuals, sending to groups, carbon copies, blind carbon copies, receiving, replying to individuals, replying to groups, forwarding, attaching a file or picture, and avoiding viruses. Register and pay by Jan. 29.
K.I.S.S. Word 2010, CMB 1004 045, is being offered Feb. 12, 6:30 – 9:30 pm, $69, is word specific “Train Your Brain” exercises. Ribbon navigation, font size, text justification, font color, line spacing, margins, headers and footers, and more. Register and pay by Feb. 4.
K.I.S.S Excel 2010, CMB 1005 066, will be held on Feb. 19, 6:30 – 9:30 pm, $69, excel specific “Train Your Brain” exercises. Covers worksheets, workbooks, terminology, special tools, formatting, moving, adding and deleting columns, rows, and cells, sorting, filling, editing, saving and print settings. Register and pay by Feb. 11.
