Improve your beverage experience
MARSHALLTOWN – For the first time, Iowa Valley Continuing Education will offer an adult beverage overview 5-week series. The series promises to be informative about everyday beverages, making a smarter more confident consumer, and providing an increased level of refreshment and enjoyment every day. No longer take for granted tea, coffee, wine, or beer.
Feel overwhelmed, confused, even intimidated when buying a bottle of wine? Learn more about the world of wines, how to serve them, which ones pair best with food, and which ones provide the best value. No more frustration at the wine store! Improve the flavor experience of coffee and tea times by learning fundamentals that will improve the quality of a cup. Learn about the diverse and rapidly growing world of beers and ales...the oldest adult beverage, but today, the most dynamic. Yes indeed, there is life beyond light beer. Finally, get a solid understanding of distilled spirits, the most flavorful and varied beverage group in the industry.
All this comes to you in an objective and studied way. This is pure education, not one of those commercial "seminars" that are mainly a charade covering up a sales pitch. The course is taught by Mark Adams, an independent with no drink business affiliations. It is unbiased, fact-based, thoroughly researched, clearly illustrated, and supported by a broad base of personal experience. This class goes beyond the trivia, providing the fundamental structure and organization that you need to truly understand each drink choice. Summary handouts will be provided.
Join us Tuesday evenings from 6:30 – 8:30 pm, starting January 29 – February 26. Emerge from this class able to provide a "Top 1%" beverage experience for friends and family. This series is also highly recommended for anyone in the hospitality business. Become better informed, serve a better product, and have more satisfied customers.
