IVCE offers "Great Decisions" discussion series
MARSHALLTOWN –Looking for a great discussion group, featuring impartial, thought provoking analyses on eight issues of great concern to U.S. policy makers today? Iowa Valley Continuing Education is offering the “Great Decisions” discussion series Fridays, Feb. 1 – April 5, 9:30 – 11:30 am at IVCE, 3702 S. Center St., Marshalltown.
Topics will include: Future of the Euro; Egypt; NATO; Myanmar and Southeast Asia; Intervention; Iran; China in Africa and Threat Assessment. Consensus is not a goal – participants respect each one’s experiences, value systems and beliefs. Join this lively discussion group that is led by a member of Creative Retirement. After registering, receive the briefing book for the class on the 2013 issues. Be prepared to discuss the first topic at the first session! Each week includes a half-hour video on each topic, offering expert analyses by officials, policy makers and educators.
Interested persons must be Creative Retirement members to register for the discussion series. Cost of Creative Retirement membership is $10 and allows access to a variety of programs, events and trips through September 2013.
