Welding basics opportunity
MARSHALLTOWN – Are you interested in learning how to weld? Here’s a chance to take a class from Mary Means, MCC Welding Instructor during this evening course, “Welding Basics” offered on Thursdays, Feb. 7 – Feb. 21, 6:00 – 9:00 pm. Class will be held at the Business and Technology Center Welding Lab on the Marshalltown Community College Campus, 3700 S. Center St., Marshalltown.
During this course, learn basic welding techniques for stick and wire welding along with oxyacetylene cutting and bending, and brazing as projects are created.
Participants must wear leather shoes, long sleeves and long pants. No prior welding experience is necessary. Get ideas for upcoming projects and where to purchase materials. Price includes materials and lab fee. The price is $195.
