IVCE offers Eat for Energy
GRINNELL – Feeling sluggish and can't figure out why? Do you combat your fatigue with caffeinated drinks or sugary snacks? Do you want more energy to be your true self? If you answered yes to any of these questions this wellness class may shed some light on this topic. During this workshop, discover that everything we take into our lives is food for our body, mind and spirit, and that the choices we make can energize or drain us. What works for your neighbor may never work for you because there is no one way to wellness. Find out more about taking wellness into your own hands.
"Eat for Energy" is the second workshop in the monthly Integrated Nutrition series offered by Iowa Valley Continuing Education. Course number HEH 1025 001, will be held on Thursday, March 7, 6-8 pm. Please note that this date has been updated since the EdVenture catalogue was released.
Integrated Nutrition takes a holistic approach to wellness, asking people to consider not only food but relationships, work, exercise, and spirituality as essential to building good health. Rather than advocating fad diets, Integrated Nutrition recognizes that there is no one way to wellness but there are a number of fundamental principles that underlie good health.
Future workshops include: "Women's Health," HEH 1026 001 on March 26; and "Weigh Less, Live More," HEH 1027 001 on April 23.
Instructor, Melissa Berman, is a certified health coach, trained at the Institute for Integrative Nutrition. Melissa has studied hundreds of different diets and wellness ideas. Her goal is to give people insight into their own health and wellness needs, so they can lead lives that are happier, healthier, and more sustainable.
