Women's Health workshop is March 26 in Grinnell
GRINNELL – Operating on the belief that “your health is your wealth,” Iowa Valley Continuing Education is offering a “Women’s Health” workshop on March 26 as part of its Integrated Nutrition Series. Instructor Melissa Berman will discuss ways to nourish the body, mind and spirit by achieving the right balance and understanding the relationship between sugars, mood swings, and healthy eating.
The Integrated Nutrition workshops take a holistic approach to wellness, asking participants to consider not only food but relationships, work, exercise, and spirituality as essential components of good health. Rather than advocating fad diets, Integrated Nutrition recognizes that there is no one way to wellness, but that there are a number of fundamental principles that underlie healthy living.
Berman is a certified health coach, trained at the Institute for Integrative Nutrition. She has studied hundreds of different diets and wellness ideas. Her goal, she says, is to give people insight into their own health and wellness needs, so they can lead lives that are happier, healthier, and more sustainable.
Participants will meet at Iowa Valley Grinnell, 123 6th Avenue West, in room 209 from 6 to 8 pm on Tuesday, March 26; cost of the course is $9. The next workshop in the Integrated Nutrition Series will be “Weigh Less, Live More” on April 23.
