Creative Retirement Spring Luncheon, "The Affordable Care Act for Seniors"
MARSHALLTOWN –What will the Affordable Care Act mean to you? What implications will it hold for Iowa seniors? Join us for lunch to find out what the Affordable Care Act and 2014 has in store! The Iowa Valley Continuing Education Creative Retirement Program will address the “Affordable Care Act for Seniors” at their spring luncheon, Friday, April 12 at IVCE, Room 808 (Dejardin Hall).
The speaker will be Peter Damiano, director of the University of Iowa Public Policy Center, and Professor in the Department of Preventive & Community Dentistry. He is a health services researcher studying access, utilization, and quality of care. His funded studies are primarily in the areas of health care reform, maternal and child health, health disparities and health care for underserved populations. He has authored over 100 journal articles and research monographs and been principal investigator on over 50 funded research studies. Damiano is an expert in the area of the Affordable Care Act.
Lunch will be served from 11:30 am – 12:30 pm, the presentation starts at noon. Persons can register for class CRT 1001 011 by calling IVCE at 641-752-4645. Cost is $15. Interested persons must be a Creative Retirement member to register for this presentation. Cost of Creative Retirement membership is $10 and allows access to a variety of programs, events and trips through September 2013.
