Great classes coming in April to Tama County
TAMA – Iowa Valley Continuing Education is offering great classes coming this April. Choose from learning about your antiques, learning more about keeping healthy and some helpful tips with weight loss, relaxation and to stop smoking.
In Antique Appraisal, bring your treasures and see what their value is. Some very fascinating items come through the door. Instructor Ranee Road is a professional appraiser from Des Moines and will use her breadth of knowledge to tell you the value of your items. Class will be held on Saturday, April 12 from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm at the Tama Civic Center, 305 Sigel. The cost of the class is $30 and the course number to register for is FUN 1115.(1). If you would simply like to enjoy seeing the variety of items, you should register for FUN 1116.(1). The cost of this class is $6.
For people who would like to lose weight, stop smoking, or learn relaxation techniques, Katherine Hamilton, certified hypnotherapist, will use the power of suggestion to help you reach those goals. Katherine often works in hospitals where her services are used to help alleviate pain. These sessions will be held on Monday, April 14, at the Toledo Library, 206 E. High. Smoking Cessation will begin at 6:00 pm. Weight loss will begin at 7:00 pm, and relaxation will be held at 8:00 pm. There will be a free reinforcement CD for participants. The cost is $45 for each session.
