Moped Safety Class offered April 20 in Iowa Falls
IOWA FALLS – Iowa Valley Continuing Education will offer a Moped Safety class on Saturday, April 20, 9 am to 3 pm, on the Ellsworth Community College campus, 1100 College, Ave., Iowa Falls. This 6-hour course, taught by a certified instructor, is required by law for persons under the age of 16 who want to get a moped license.
Moped operation can be the first step in a lifetime of driving, setting a good foundation to prepare students for the rest of their lives. Iowa law says anyone ages 14 to 16 years of age or who doesn't have a valid driver's license must complete a 6-hour moped training including: successfully completing a written test, and passing a visual screening before being allowed to operate a moped.
Students learn the rules of the road for being a safe moped operator. To enroll in the Saturday, April 20, 9 am to 3 pm, Moped Safety class, an individual must be 14 years old or within six months of turning 14.
