Community Speakers Bureau invites presenters in 4-county area
Iowa Valley Community College District is in the process of updating the online Community Speakers Bureau for 2014-2015, which can be found at www.IowaValley.com (click on the Speakers Bureau link in the upper right hand corner). Individuals interested in being listed with the Speakers Bureau are encouraged to contact Michele Frost in the IVCCD Marketing Office by July 11. Also, those who have been included in the past are asked to check their topic listing and contact information to be sure it is current.
The Community Speakers Bureau is an online resource from which Central Iowa organizations or clubs may choose a speaker. The current Community Speakers Bureau includes more than 90 programs covering a broad range of topics, with over 70 different speakers identified. The more enticing and stimulating the topic, the more opportunities a presenter will typically have to speak.
All speakers listed with the Community Speakers Bureau are asked to give their 30-minute programs on a volunteer basis, explains Frost. "The Speakers Bureau is an excellent opportunity for you to get acquainted with the communities within Iowa Valley Community College District, since it's available to residents in Hardin, Marshall, Poweshiek and Tama counties."
Iowa Valley Community College District reserves the right to select programs that reflect good taste and agree with the educational philosophy of the District. Persons and organizations interested in soliciting a speaker can find all the pertinent information online. Those interested in being a speaker should contact Frost by phone or email at 641-844-5573 or 1-800-284-4823, ext. 5573, or Michele.Frost@iavalley.edu.
