Open Sewing Workshop to be held on October 10
MARSHALLTOWN – This open sewing workshop time is for you to bring your own projects to work on while having access to sewing instructor Val Bonk. Val will be available to assist you with the construction of your project, questions you have about your directions or the pattern. She will be here to help you with your sewing questions. Come and stay for the whole day or for a few hours. Bring your sewing machine, needles, thread, iron and board, scissors, extension cord, power strip, light, project supplies and anything you need to work on your project. If you have a project to finish or need help on how to finish it Val can help you with suggestions. You will be supplied with one 8 foot table and a chair. Val will have some basic projects you may purchase if you want to come and practice basic sewing skills. Project supplies to purchase will be from $6 - $10 and payable to the instructor at class.
The open sewing workshop will be held on Wed. October 10, 2012 from 9:00 am – 4:00 pm, cost is $20 and the course number is CFN 1242-001 with a registration deadline of Oct. 3. The class will be held at Iowa Valley Continuing Education, 3702 S Center St, Marshalltown, IA, room 612.
The instructor, Valorie Bonk, is a seamstress, quilter, professional quilt appraiser, and lecturer who has taught many classes throughout Iowa. Her knowledge, expertise, and practical experience will make this hands-on class fun while you are learning. She will be available all day to assist you with developing your sewing skills and completing your projects.
