Crocheting for Beginners
MARSHALLTOWN – Crocheting for Beginners evening class will start on Monday Oct. 21. In this class you will learn basic crocheting techniques that you will use to create a dish cloth. You will also learn about yarns, threads, crochet hooks, and much more from a talented and experienced instructor, Sharon Pratt. The class will meet on four consecutive Mondays from 6:00-8:00 pm on Oct. 21 to Nov. 11. Course number for the class is CFN 1203-012. Cost of the class is $35.
Crocheting for Beginners will meet at Iowa Valley Continuing Education, 3702 S Center St, Marshalltown, room 803. Your talented instructor, Sharon Pratt,has been crocheting since she was 11 years old and has made simple wash cloths to afghans, hats, baskets, snowflakes, and more complex dresser scarves and doilies with very fine thread. You will need to bring the following supplies to class with you, a size 8 or H crochet hook, and worsted weight cotton thread like sugar ‘n cream. You will be making a dish cloth and the pattern will be supplied at class. This class filled up very quickly last year and you will want to enroll early by calling IVCE now at 752-4645 to enroll. The registration deadline is Oct. 14.
