Meskwaki history & artifacts will be showcased Oct. 16
TAMA – Meskwaki tribal historian Johnathan Buffalo will share the fascinating history of the Meskwaki Tribe in the newly-opened tribal museum for an Iowa Valley Continuing Education program being offered on Tuesday, Oct. 16, at 6:30 pm.
Establishing this museum has been Johnathan's special project for the past several years. The museum artifacts, which are such an integral part of Meskwaki history, will surround program participants as Johnathan traces the migration of the tribe, their fight for survival, and the colorful incidents and people that are a part of the Meskwaki past.
