Industrial Wiring offered November 17
MARSHALLTOWN – Iowa Valley Continuing Education will be offering Industrial Wiring on November 17. This 8-hour class covers the National Electrical Code requirements for industrial wiring, beginning with general requirements and continuing through branch circuit and feeder installation, grounding and bonding, conductor sizing and installation, overcurrent protection, box and conduit sizing, conduit and raceway types and installation rules, cable tray requirements, switches and receptacles, panelboards, industrial control panels, luminaires, appliances, motors, air conditioners, equipment disconnecting means, and requirements for transformer installations.
Participants should bring the following items: 2011 National Electrical Code, highlighters, calculator, notebook and pencils.
Class will be offered on Saturday, November 17, 8:00 am – 5:00 pm. It will be held at the Iowa Valley Continuing Education, 3702 S Center St, Marshalltown, room 608. Cost of the course is $125.
