Marshalltown Cosmetology Classes set for Feb. 25
MARSHALLTOWN – Cosmetologists will have two opportunities for continuing education credits on Monday, Feb. 25, in Marshalltown. “Haircutting Tools and Textures/Sanitation in the Salon” will be offered from 8 am to noon and “Connecting with Today’s Consumer” will be held from 1 to 5 pm through Iowa Valley Continuing Education. Classes will be held at 3702 S. Center St., Marshalltown.
The “Haircutting Tools and Textures/Sanitation in the Salon,” will show you how to enhance your haircutting repertoire by learning creative techniques and how to mix and match the right cutting tools for each individual’s needs. Also review Iowa regulations for protecting the consumer in the salon and school, and keep abreast of recent rule changes. This course fulfills the two hours of Iowa Law required by the Cosmetology Arts and Sciences Board. This class is approved for a total of four hours of continuing education for cosmetologists, barbers, nail technicians and estheticians.
“Connecting with Today’s Consumer” will ensure that your business remains current and relevant by knowing the latest in tools and techniques, as well as communication and marketing strategies. This class is also approved for four hours of continuing education credit for cosmetologists, barbers and nail technicians.
Presenter Paula Hamer has been working behind the chair for over 30 years; as a stylist, independent contractor and salon manager. She will share proven strategies from her own style of doing business through caring relationship with her clients. Paula enjoys teaching practical, salon-friendly techniques and methods in a relaxed atmosphere.
