Tama County Leadership focuses on "Building a Team" Nov. 8
TAMA – Whether you’re participating in the full eight-month Tama County Leadership Program or you just want to attend specific individual programs based on the topic, there’s valuable information coming on Thursday, Nov. 8, when the program will be on “Building a Team."
Ilona Avery, Iowa Juvenile Home Clinical Director, will talk about the importance of working in teams, why some people dislike working in teams, the stages of team development, what leadership behavior looks like in a team, and much more.
“In October, class members had fun taking a Real Colors assessment that helped them better understand human behavior,” says Sandy Supianoski, Tama Leadership Program coordinator. “Many of the students were excited to go back to their workplace and begin using information they had learned to better work with their staffs. We think there will be a similar buzz coming out of the November session on teamwork.”
The Tama County Leadership Program is sponsored by Iowa Valley Continuing Education and the Tama/Toledo Chamber of Commerce. It meets on the 2nd Thursday of each month from 8:30-10:30 am at the State Bank of Toledo, 100 E. High St., Toledo. Registration for each session is $25.
To register, contact Iowa Valley Continuing Education at 1-800-284-4823 or e-mail ivceinfo@iavalley.edu.
