MCC Tiger Baseball 2007-08

This spring should be an exciting time for the Tigers. With 13 returning players, there
should be plenty of leadership as the Tigers look to tame one of the toughest schedules
in the country.

The offense will be led by four returning starters: Grant Grgurich, Brian Clark, Clint Robbins, and Scott Ethell. The coaching staff will rely heavily on these four student-athletes
throughout the upcoming season. Other players expected to play big roles are Billy Meacham, Elliott Armstrong and Ronnie Chester. Elliott Armstrong was a 39th round draft pick of the Atlanta Braves last summer and should give the Tigers some excitement up the middle.

The Tigers are an experienced group on the mound. The pitching staff will be led by Trenton Wood, Adam Versendaal and Lincoln Gassman. All three pitchers played big roles in the
2006-07 season and are poised to do the same this year. The pitching staff should be
as strong as it has been in recent years. If the Tigers are looking to improve on their
24-win season from a year ago, they will have to be strong on the mound.
