Associate in Arts degree curriculum
An Associates of Arts (AA) degree is designed to meet the
requirements of colleges and universities to which students may wish
to transfer for completion of a baccalaureate (BA or BS) degree.
This program offers the chance to learn
sustainable farming techniques and effective small business
strategies. It provides practical knowledge in local food
production, environmental stewardship, small business planning and
hands-on experience with Central Iowa farmers practicing sustainable
agriculture, vegetable production, and/or certified organic farming.
Certificate curriculum (1 year)
Offered at MCC (Code: MVSAP)
Students will attain a certificate
in a specific subject area of sustainable agriculture.
