Business Administration
Program Summary Effective and efficient managers help companies grow and succeed. Business Administration majors work in sales, administrative services, management training, small business operations and many other fields. This program is designed to prepare students who wish to fully explore the field of business their first two years of college work. Nearly all of the courses meet the requirements established for a baccalaureate degree in Business Administration in four-year schools. The program is also designed for students who may not continue in a four-year school.

Business Scholarships

Future Leaders – Iowa resident on the Marshalltown campus, freshman status studying Applied Technology programs, K-12 Teacher Education or Business Administration. Financial need considered, but not full federal assistance.

Sam F. Harding Memorial – MCC sophomore Business major; must maintain a 3.0 GPA and be an IVCCD resident.

Wendell E. Haupert Memorial – Marshall County high school graduates whom are currently MCC sophomores majoring in Business. Minority students encouraged to apply. Must have a 2.5 GPA.

Craig & Patricia Johnson Memorial – MHS senior with a 3.0 GPA who is majoring in pre-Law, Business, or Teacher Education.

Jo Johnson Memorial Office Administration – MCC student enrolled full-time in the Office Careers program who demonstrates ability and commitment. 3.0 GPA required; financial need considered.

The Bill & Phyllis Lane Foundation – Iowa high school graduate; financial need considered but not full federal assistance; Business, Drama, or Music major; 2.67 GPA.

Charles G. Mathison Memorial / Taco John’s – One to an incoming freshman and one to a sophomore student; 2.75 GPA, five-year resident of Marshall County or reside within a 45-mile radius of MCC.

George Mucha Memorial – Area high school graduate; financial need considered but not full federal assistance; Business major; 2.5 GPA.
