Welcome to Marshalltown Community College
Going to college is a big step for anyone to take. Fortunately, education is always a step in the
right direction! Whether you’re a college student for the first time or returning after being in the workplace, you can choose from more than 72 career, technical and transfer programs that will help you find a career, improve on the skills you already have or learn new skills and knowledge!
Student Success Specialists: "Partnering for success"
MCC has adopted the philosophy of a “One-Stop Shop” service system, designed to help effectively integrate new and returning students into college life by providing essential services in a central location. In keeping with this philosophy, MCC employs four Student Success Specialists (located in the Admissions Office). The Success Specialists' responsibilities include serving as MCC admissions representatives, providing academic counseling, implementing testing services (COMPASS, CLEP, challenge tests), providing financial aid assistance, and offering other support as needed to help students step forward with their college education.
