‘Amy & Adams’ return to the Orpheum for Jean Seberg benefit concert
Acoustic duo Amy & Adams return to Marshalltown this month to perform live in concert on Saturday, March 22, at the IVCCD Orpheum Theater Center. The St. Paul, MN based musical group will perform at 8 pm in the Orpheum Black Box Theater, 220 E. Main St., Marshalltown. All proceeds from this special concert will go to the Jean Seberg Endowment Fund.
The concert this month will contain songs in Amy & Adams’ signature Eclectic/Folk Rock/Tin Pan Alley/Blues Grass style. The duo says they enjoy positive music with real melodies and meaningful lyrics.
Doors will open at 7:30 pm with tickets at $25 each. Tickets can be purchased in advance by calling 641-844-5921 or by visiting the Orpheum Welcome Office.
Amy & Mark Adams-Westin found each other in the Twin Cities after decades of playing in their own worlds. They’ve produced five well-received CDs that have garnered national & international airplay. Roots Music Report declared them , “as fresh and entertaining as folk music has ever been.” Mark is a Marshalltown native who graduated from MHS and attended MCC and performed for years while living in the area.
