Return 2 Learning (R2L) scholarships available
Prospective students age 25 and older who have not taken a college course in the past five years are eligible to apply for a Return 2 Learning Scholarship. The R2L scholarships cover tuition for one three-credit course for qualified students attending Marshalltown Community College, and/or Iowa Valley Grinnell (a satellite campus of MCC).
Recipients of the R2L scholarships are responsible for their own textbooks and fees. Students are not eligible for the scholarship if they receive tuition reimbursement from their employer.
“The R2L scholarship is a great tool for adult students,” says Dr. Barb Klein, ECC Dean of Enrollment Services & Registrar. “Some adults know they need or want a college education to achieve their career goals, and this is a great scholarship to help make that education more affordable, no matter how many credits they’re taking. Other adults aren’t sure whether they’ll enjoy college or not, and this scholarship allows them to ‘try us on for size’ without a significant financial commitment. Either way, the Return 2 Learning scholarship is available for all qualified students and we encourage them to apply!”
