Microsoft Office certifications available at MCC
Ensure your success in the workplace, in business, and in college by using digital tools to your advantage! Microsoft Office is the most widely used software in the business world and proficiency is expected for college coursework. But maneuvering the software’s power goes beyond the basics.
As an approved Microsoft Testing Center, Marshalltown Community College provides you with the ability to earn industry recognized Microsoft certifications in Excel, Access, Word, PowerPoint and/or Outlook; and MCC’s computer courses can prepare you for these certifications. Included are spreadsheets for mathematical operations and financial calculations; databases that support data-driven decisions; professionally formatted and collaborative documents with anytime/anywhere access; and professional presentations.
In addition to the Microsoft Certifications, you can also obtain an MCC Microsoft Business Certificate or Computer Applications in Business degree. Both programs can be completed entirely online. The short certificate can be earned by taking the CSC118 Computer Systems and Applications course, along with CSC119 and CSC120 (Computer Systems & Apps II and III). The 119 and 120 classes may be taken sequentially or simultaneously in order to complete the certificate in two semesters reducing materials costs.
If you have any questions or would like more information regarding Microsoft Office Certification, computer classes, or registration, contact Brenda Woodward or Kristen Murphy, both Microsoft Certified Instructors or any of the academic advisors at 641-752-7106.
