Orpheum tradition continues with a one night only midnight showing of ‘Rocky Horror Picture Show’ on October 26
The IVCCD Orpheum Theater Center continues the annual tradition established in 2010 with its special ‘one-night only’ showing of Rocky Horror Picture Show , on Friday, October 26, at midnight (11:59 pm). The box office will open at 11 pm. Admission is $15 with all props included. Costumes are encouraged!
Tim Curry and Susan Sarandon star in this cult classic about a newly engaged couple that has a breakdown in an isolated area and must pay a call to the bizarre residence of Dr. Frank-N-Furter. The film is a parody of B-movie, science fiction and horror films of the late 1940s through the 1970s. Still in limited release nearly 37 years after its premiere, it has the longest-running theatrical release in film history.
“Our performances at the Orpheum have been a local hit – it’s a great time for the sing along and confetti throwing, toilet paper throwing, rice throwing, noise making heck of a good time crowd!” says Director Pip Gordon. Be reminded that there are no personal belongings allowed in the theater (bags, purses, etc.) as no liquids are permitted in the newly renovated Orpheum. The Orpheum Theater Center reserves the right to refuse admittance to any patron. If you are not seated by 11:55 pm, your seat will be given to a stand-by customer.
There are only 152 seats so call now to get your tickets at 641-844-5919. Additional information can be found on the Orpheum Theater Center website at www.ivotc.com.
The Orpheum Theater Center is owned and operated by the Iowa Valley Community College District.
