ECC Provost candidates will meet the public

IOWA FALLS – The public is invited to attend open forum sessions to meet the four candidates who are interviewing next week for the position of Provost of Ellsworth Community College. All open forums will be held from 3:15 to 4 pm in the Gentle Student Center formal dining room at ECC.
On Monday, July 13 – Dr. Barb Klein, Iowa Falls. Dr. Klein, currently Dean of Enrollment Services & Registrar for Ellsworth Community College, has been in her current position since 2011; she has been at ECC since 1992. Dr. Klein holds a Ph.D. in Educational Leadership & Policy Studies from Iowa State University, a Master of Education degree in Higher Education from ISU, a Bachelor of Arts degree in Business Management from Buena Vista University, and an Associate in Arts degree from Iowa Lakes Community College.
On Tuesday, July 14 – Dr. Bruce Exstrom, Garden City, KS. Dr. Exstrom, currently Vice President for Instructional Services at Garden City Community College, has been in his current position since 2012; prior to 2012 he was employed at Coastal Bend College in Beeville, TX. Dr. Exstrom holds a Ph.D. in Administration in Curriculum & Instruction from the University of Nebraska, a Master of Arts degree in Adult & Continuing Education and Human Resource Development from UN, a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration & Finance from UN, and an Associate in Arts degree from Northeast Community College in Norfolk, NE. He has completed post-doctorate studies in Leadership in Education at Harvard University.
On Wednesday, July 15 – Dr. Martin Reimer, Dakota Dunes, SD. Dr. Reimer, currently Dean of Student Support at Western Iowa Tech Community College, has been in his current position since 2014; he has been at WITCC since 2006. Dr. Reimer holds a Ph.D. in Higher Education Administration from Capella University in Minneapolis; a Master of Business Administration degree in International Management from Thunderbird School of Global Management in Glendale, AZ; and a Bachelor of Arts degree in General Studies from Central College in Pella. He also participated in a study abroad language program at Universidad de Granada in Spain.
On Friday, July 17 – Dr. Laurel Klinkenberg, Herrin, IL. Dr. Klinkenberg, currently Vice President for Instructional Services at John A. Logan College in Carterville, IL, has been in her current position since 2014; prior to that she was employed at Hawkeye Community College in Waterloo. Dr. Klinkenberg holds a Ph.D. in Educational Leadership & Policy Studies from Iowa State University, an Evaluator’s Credential and Education Specialist Degree from Drake University, a Master of Science degree in Education from ISU, and a Bachelor of Music Education/Music Therapy degree from Wartburg College.
