Sally Wilson received her Bachelor of Science degree from Cornell University (Ithaca, New York)  in the study of Ecology, Systematics and Evolution. She received her Master of Science degree from Long Island University, C.W. Post College, in Biology Education, has pursued post-graduate work in Curriculum and Instruction in Science, and recently an MBA in Sustainability from Green Mountain College in Vermont.  She was a principal faculty member in the Entrepreneurial and Diversified Agriculture degree program for over a decade and currently also teaches in the Horticulture program. She teaches Human Anatomy and Physiology, Environmental Biology, Horticulture, Sustainable Pest Management and Applied Systems Thinking, as well as Honors Seminars whenever she is able.

She loves teaching at the community college because her energy can be focused on teaching and student success. The only thing she doesn’t like is that most students are only here for two years and she is not able to have as much contact time as she likes or would have at a 4-year institution. Her goal is to help her students gain skills and confidence that will empower them to be life-long learners, excellent communicators and most of all scientifically curious and savvy. She especially loves to hear from her students that have moved forward in their lives and their studies after they leave MCC. Not so secretly her personal goals in life are to save the planet and to feed people in a healthy way.
