Tim Castle is a Professor of Art at Marshalltown Community College. He received his BA from Portsmouth University in the United Kingdom his MA from Eastern Illinois University, and MFA in fine art from Indiana State University. Tim decided to be an artist in high school because it was the only thing he was half-way good at and so after he graduated, barely, he took a chance and enrolled in a district college (equivalent to a community college) in his native England. Looking back he realizes how wonderful the “art trip” has been and continues to be for him. He is passionate about making his own art and getting his students involved in the creative process. Over the years, he has had his work exhibited in various galleries, and other venues, in cities from Chicago to Phoenix to West Des Moines, and, of course, MCC’s Ray Frederick Gallery.
