IVCCD Board Hears Information about Strategic Agenda
The Iowa Valley Community College District (IVCCD) Board of Directors discussed the 2021-2023 Strategic Agenda with Chancellor Dr. Kristie Fisher. Fisher highlighted updates to the Strategic Agenda, which include creating a welcoming and inclusive environment for all students. The District will also take a strategic approach to partner with local businesses and industries to support diversity and workforce training needs. Academically, IVCCD will continue focusing on high-quality assessment with the intentional emphasis placed on cultivating a culture of student learning. Finally, the District will emphasize strengthening sustainability efforts. The Board agreed to a $3-per-credit-hour increase for tuition for the upcoming academic year, beginning July 1, 2020.
The Board also approved housing and meal plan charges per semester for the 2020-2021 academic year with occupancy days of August 23, 2020, through May 7, 2021. Housing fees at both Marshalltown Community College and Ellsworth Community College were increased 2% and meal plan fees approximately 1.6%.
