IVCCD Board Report – September 2025 Meeting
The Iowa Valley Community College District (IVCCD) Board of Directors met to approve a series of workforce training agreements with local businesses.
During its regular monthly meeting, the Board approved four 260F Iowa Jobs Training Agreements with companies in the region, providing funding for specialized employee training.
- A $27,214 agreement was approved with Ritchie Industries in Conrad, a long-standing manufacturer of livestock watering equipment. This is the eighth contract with the company, and the funding will be used for welding, leadership, and safety training.
- The Board approved a $20,125 agreement with D & B Agro Systems in Hubbard, a construction company specializing in steel structures. This marks the eleventh contract with D & B, and the funding will provide for safety and technical training for its employees.
- A $9,740 agreement was approved with Hawkins Electrical Service in Marshalltown, an industrial, commercial, and agricultural electrical company. This is the seventh contract with the company, and the funding will support heart saver, electrical, and safety training.
- The Board approved a $27,250 agreement with CO2 Refrigeration Systems, a new company in Marshalltown. This is the first training contract with the manufacturer of industrial CO2 refrigeration systems and will be used for welding certification, professional development, robotic welding, and CAD/CAM training.
The approval of these training agreements underscores the district’s dedication to providing targeted education that directly benefits local companies and their employees.
